  • jobs paying enough for Family Economic Self Sufficiency(FESS)
    • Relatedly, lack of time to take classes due to working multiple jobs and/or long hours
    • support, once a new or improved job is obtained, to continue with their academic progress. That is, many students will drop out of class once their job situation changes due to greater number of conflicts
  • transportation
  • childcare
  • clear opportunities for career and/or education advancement
  • English language skills
  • basic skills
  • a high school diploma or GED
  • work experience
