- it encompasses the breadth and complexity of the field and includes key concepts such as sustainable livelihood

- the term "workforce development" is a mouthful and not easily understood. Couldn't there be some more immediately transparent term like "employment and training"?
- It sounds like the etymology of the term starts at the top, among wonks discussing economic development or something.
