Amy Trawick

From LiteracyTentWiki

Since 1993, I have worked in the field of adult literacy and education as a literacy volunteer, classroom teacher, professional development specialist, administrator, and researcher. In 2007, I received my Ph.D. in Curriculum and Teaching, with a focus on adolescent and adult reading instruction. I am currently an assistant professor in the Leadership and Educational Studies Department at Appalachian State University.

A major professional goal I have is to find ways to communicate and incorporate research about reading instruction into adult education contexts in ways that make sense for adult learners and the systems that support them.
