COABE 2009 Conference – Distance Education and Technology Strands

About the Strands

Project IDEAL (Improving Distance Education for Adult Learners) and ALTN (The Adult Literacy & Technology Network) have organized two presentation strands at COABE exploring the latest in technology tools for the classroom and strategies for delivering education at a distance.

Project IDEAL
Project IDEAL is a consortium of states working together to develop effective distance education programs for adult learners. Through collaborative research and practice, member states work to expand and raise the quality of distance education programs across the country. Adult Literacy and Technology Network
The Adult Literacy and Technology Network (ALTN) is a national effort dedicated to finding solutions for using technology to enhance adult literacy. ALTN seeks to provide leadership in the application and use of technology to enhance international adult literacy by means of conferences, training, technical assistance, and communication media.
