WE LEARN 2009
MAKING ENGLISH WORK FOR WOMEN

Abstract: The workplace is often the only place English language learners can really practice their English. Giving women the work-specific language they need to succeed at work is advantageous for their employers, their families, and their communities. During this workshop, participants will hear about the trend toward work-based ESOL as well as successful programs around the country. Participants will also try out a handful of work-based activities that they can implement in their classes immediately.
