Massachusetts Projects
From LiteracyTentWiki
The Adult Literacy Resource Institute (ALRI) is the Greater Boston Regional Support Center of the Massachusetts System for Adult Basic Education Support (SABES). In the 1990s there was a great deal of interest at the ALRI in teacher research ("practitioner research", "classroom research", or "action research"). The projects were led by ALRI staff Lenore Balliro and Martha Merson, and participants were selected based on their interest in learning how to do practitioner research and their willingness to publish an article based on their research. They were each paid a modest stipend. Below are links to two issues of the ALRI's Connections journal with articles based on this research.
