I made an account for my students to upload photos. You can do it in either
Flickr or Picasa Web by creating a Yahoo or Google account for the class to
use. This is nice because at the end of the semester, it can be disposable
and deleted or cleaned out for the next class to use. This way students can
upload directly to the account. However, please be sure to teach them about
copyright. I had one student who sent me a photo of Afghani dancing. I had
assumed it was of one of his family celebrations. Six months later I got a
letter from an Afghani woman who said that it was a picture of her underage
daughters. So of course I removed it right away. Now I teach the class about
uploading only photos that they take themselves or a photo from one of the
copyright free photo websites.

There are many of these. I am sure Marian has a whole list she can post.

Here is a list of sites to find copyright-free media on OTAN: http://www.otan.us/browse/index.cfm?fuseaction=browse&catid=10629 . You will need to
become a member if you aren't already, but it only takes a minute.
