Professional Learning Communities
From LiteracyTentWiki
Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are growing throughout the nation. How can adult education programs effectively and efficiently implement PLC principles when adult education staff are so separated by space, time, and content? One CA adult education agency is using a blog for its e-PLC. NMUSD Adult Education is a moderately-sized program with 17 sites, 40+ hourly teachers, morning, afternoon and evening classes, both weekdays and weekends. To implement the PLC principles at NMUSD Adult School, we started our first e-PLC with the Adult Education Matters weblog.
Please check it out and see if an e-PLC is a viable option for you.
