Hi Richard and all,

I've been quietly lurking in the background, but tweeting my way through the discussions whenever possible. I love your idea about the Tech Integration repository. As the chair of the AALPD Resource Committee, I've created a Resource Wiki online (_http://aalpdresources.pbworks.com_ (http://aalpdresources.pbworks.com) ) where AALPD members share online resources they've found that makes their lives easier.

While I could certainly create a new page for Tech Integration Lessons, I'm wondering if we should first agree on certain components that should be part of each lesson. An agreed upon template, if you will. Should we consider Andrew Churches "Bloom's Revised Digital Taxonomy" for example, and make reference to which "level" we're addressing?

For example:

Would all lessons include:

1. Cognitive Skill Level (Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analyzing, Evaluating and Creating)
2. Goal/Objective
3. Lesson Outline (Introduction, Main Activity, Debriefing/Evaluation)
4. Real-Life Connection
5. Materials/Texts/Online Tools/Realia/Handouts

I LOVE the idea and look forward to others' suggestions.

Debra:

Thanks for sharing the AAALPD site. It looks like a good model.

I think it is a good idea to develop a template for submissions, as well as identify other criteria for how lessons are shared. For example, in VA, we want to "tag" any shared lesson plans with not only subject, level, etc, but also with the particular VA content standard it addresses.

Any ideas on how we could move forward with discussing this idea?

Richard

I'm with Deb on this one. I like Susan's Google form that address how I would participate and what social network that I would use. But; We should incorporate Deb's idea of a template and specific components. Individuals can always add tags for specifics to their state or regional programs but we should be able to agree on a standardized format. (I'm good with the modification of Blooms and adaptable to other ideas also.)

Hi Jeff and others,

I've created a very simple beginning template on the AALPD Resource Wiki. http://aalpdresources.pbworks.com/FrontPage

Please visit, add to, delete, move around or whatever. This would be nice to have so we could start keying in lessons before the fall.

Hi Deb, All,

Thanks for getting us started! I suggest we create a small group to work on this over the next two weeks and flesh this idea out. Then the small group would report back to the PD and Tech Lists for the last part of our discussion August 2 - 6; share the results of the group's work.

I would just need a leader for this group. Any takers? If so, email me direct at Jackie at jataylor.net I'll add it to the list of small groups here:

Thanks Jackie, for suggesting the work group. I'd be happy to work on it with others, however I'll be out of the country beginning July 21 - August 3. Please let me know who offers to help so I can contact them upon my return.
