My experience in adult literacy includes working in several different contexts: I have worked with adult ESL students in both academic and non-academic settings; I have worked in a university learning support center where I taught reading and writing skills to students enrolled in remedial courses; and I have taught basic reading and writing skills to adult students enrolled in continuing education courses designed to help them prepare for the state's college entrance exam.
Currently, I am a doctoral student in the department of Educational Psychology at Georgia State University, the Psychometrist for the Center for the Study of Adult Literacy, and the Topic Area Leader for Women & Literacy on the ALE Wiki.
