StuffIt Expander AleTechnology

A program for the Macintosh used to decompress files after downloading. Many files are stored on servers (see Server) in a compressed format, making them take up less disk space, and reducing the time it takes for you to download them. StuffIt Expander (published by Aladdin Systems), decompresses these files, and makes them usable by your computer. On a PC, this process is called unzipping (see Unzip) files.
