How to Write a Where I'm From poem This site gives teaching ideas for prewriting and writing a Where I'm From poem www.ehow.com/how_4615832_write-_where-i_m-from_-poem.html
Please check out the latest issue of Program Notes from the Managing Stress to Improve Learning project at World Ed in Boston. Several pages are devoted to samples of student poems. The "Where I'm From" poems are stunning and fit nicely into a diversity theme. I originally came across the idea for the "Where I'm From" poem in the book Beyond Heros and Holidays, still one of my favorites.
