Talk:Participatory staff development

Some people distinguish between staff development and professional development in adult education. They view staff develoment as short-term, inservice, primarily training or one-time workshops. They would call what is being described on this page professional development, a more substantive process which takes place over time, involving collaboartion, and leading to many increased abilities, and to substantially increased practitioner knowledge. --Djrosen 17:40, 13 Feb 2005 (EST)
