One place to begin on these pages is to introduce yourself and briefly describe what brings you to the "Transition to College" wiki pages. For example, my name is Cynthia Zafft. I direct the National College Transition Network (NCTN) at World Education. The NCTN is a network of practitioners/researchers/policy-makers interested in ABE/ESOL-to-college transition. My question is, considering the strong correlation in the research between the need for reading remediation in college and lack of progress toward college-level work, what can programs do to prepare students to tackle complex reading material? What do you think the problem is and what exactly do you do?
