  This discussion focused on the insights Hediana Utarti gained from her 12 years of work with domestic violence. Topics discussed include cultural and societal pressures that keep women in violent relationships, the issue of power, access to support, definitions of healthy relationships, and approaches for discussing issues of violence in the classroom. The prevalence of domestic violence in LGBT relationships was also discussed, as well as the differences in which domestic violence is viewed in same-sex relationships and the lack of support for these victims.
