Session: Listening Across Difference
People tell and hear many stories in literacy programs. How can we use stories to understand each other better? Together we will use art to explore this question. Then you will learn about a research project in Toronto that is looking at stories and diversity in adult literacy.

- What kind of art? Drawing? I have seen some great work with clay sculpting in the adult literacy classroom.

In order to contribute to the ALE Wiki, you first need to register. To do that, go to: http://wiki.literacytent.org/index.php/Special:Userlogin
The next step is to become familiar with the wiki software and writing process. To do that please go to AleDirections and look at the short first section (Add and Change Text). You only need to learn a few formatting symbols and words, you don't have to learn a whole computer coding language.
Finally, to post a comment, you can select the "edit" tab next to the comments section on this page, follow the format that is already there, write your comments, then at the bottom of the page, select "Show preview." If what you have written looks good, select "Save page."
