Worker education

Worker education includes opportunities for workers to learn English and other basic skills, labor history, the purposes and workings of labor unions, and in some cases a broad range of education offerings. Workplace education is often sponsored by an employer (sometimes jointly with organized labor) and it emphasizes meeting the needs of the company or organization as well as the employees. Worker education focuses on the needs of the individuals as determined by the workers themselves and by organized labor. Workplace education is usually offered at the worksite. Worker education may be offered at a union hall.
