This report, from the Aspen Institute's Workforce Strategy Initiative, presents a synthesis of findings from the recently completed Sectoral Employment Development Learning Project (SEDLP). SEDLP was a multi-year learning evaluation conducted by the Economic Opportunities Program that was designed to investigate the key characteristics, operating features, and effectiveness of six employment development programs that utilize industry-specific strategies to help low-income populations obtain skills and career opportunities that enable self-sufficiency.
